Double Murder: Charges Framed Against Accused [News]

It’s almost a year when Moga DSP Balraj Singh Gill and Monika Bajaj were found murdered at farm house, Humbran Road in Ludhiana. The incident took place on February 2, 2012 and police arrested three main accused on April 5. Later on information provided by three accused. Police further arrested their three partners in crime. Belongings of the deceased, including mobile phones, an Innova car and a Chevrolet Optra Magnum, were also found from the accused.

The police filed charge sheetand then accused went on trial and now the court of additional session judge on Tuesday framed charges on 6 accused. The accused are charged under sections 302 (murder), 379 (theft), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence), 404 (dishonest misappropriation of property), 471 (forgery) and 120-B
(criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

Harpreet Sandhu counsel for deceased DGP express his gratitude to court for giving justice by framing charges on accused. The court has fixed next date of hearing on January 29.
